Wintermoon Festivalwintermoon 2015

Presenting a line-up of exceptional talent from all parts of Australia, this family orientated festival is nestled in the foothills of Eungella National Park on beautiful St Helen’s creek which provides a swimming paradise and majestic background for the camping ground. Colourful market stalls dot the landscape and a variety of craft, magic & musical workshops are on offer for all ages.

Campers may set up from a week before, Thursday April 23rd.

Airport pickups from Mackay are possible with prior arrangement.

1) 30k Mountain Bike through State Forest and Private Property near Teemburra Dam

2) 10k Kayak/Canoe down Cattle Creek

3) 10k Trail Run though Bush, Cane Paddocks, River Crossings and back up Cattle Creek

4) 40k Road Cycle loop finishing at the iconic Pinnacle Hotel.

Solo competitors, pairs and teams of up to four people will challenge themselves to complete the course within the eight hour time period.

Accommodation (Camping and Cabins) is available at the venue through the Pinnacle Hotel.

Roy Huff is an 80 year old Mackay artist who began painting lessons at the tender age of 68. Roy is well known in our artist community & his diversified subject matter includes local scenery, architecture and birdlife. This is Roy’s 2nd solo exhibition on the verandas of Historic Melba House. Come, sit on the veranda and have a cuppa with Roy as he sets up his easel to work on his latest artwork. A selection of his completed canvases will be available for sale on the day. Exhibition is FREE to view. Admission to Melba House is free. The 2015 Heritage Fair is an event not to be missed with good ol’ fashioned fun for everyone and best of all it is free to attend!

The event will feature fashion parades, an artist’s village, live entertainment and much more!

There will also be a kid’s activity area complete with jumping castles, face painting and some classic games from yesteryear.

Highlight of the day will be a performance by the Mackay City Band featuring the one and only Graeme Connors.

Buses will be available transporting guests to and from the Mackay City Centre.
